About the group

Our main area of expertise is the processing and optimal recovery of concentrates and raw materials for the recycling of complex qualities.
Aurubis is Europe´s leading integrated copper group, global copper recycler and provider of non-ferrous metals.

Aurubis produces high-purity and high-quality copper from treated concentrates and recycled materials and then processes them into intermediates. In this way, the economic cycle is done by reintroducing copper scrap and a variety of other recycling materials.

Every year, Aurubis produces more than 1 million tons of marketable copper cathodes. In the group, they are further processed into continuously cast bars, special wires, shapes, rolled products, strips and profiles made of copper and copper alloy.

Furthermore, Aurubis produces precious metals such as gold and silver and number of other products, such as sulfuric acid and iron silicate, as other products in the production of copper. Aurubis develop its leading market position with a responsible approach to the environment, people and resources.

Facts and figures

Aurubis was founded as a stock corporation in 1866. With the IPO in 1998, national mergers and international expansions in the years following, Aurubis is now an internationally operating Group.

Aurubis shares are part of the Prime Standard Segment of the Deutsche Börse and are listed in the MDAX and the Global Challenges Index (GCX).
